Contact form

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Given the unprecedented circumstances during the pandemic and the demands on our office, complaints submitted for investigation are unlikely to be considered for several months. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and distress this may cause. We will do our best to support our customers through these uncertain times and will focus on helping the most vulnerable as a priority.

In light of these challenges we would encourage you to refrain from using this form to complain to our office if your complaint is about the following matters:

  • Delays with complaint responses
  • Matters which are likely to resolve themselves within the next few weeks/months
  • Delays in service delivery which are the result of organisations having to cope with COVID-19 and which are non-essential.

As there is a restricted amount we can do for you in the short term. If you would like to discuss further please call us on 0800-377-7330.

Please find more information on our COVID-19 update.

This form is for general enquiries ONLY.

  • If your question relates to a complaint that you have already submitted to us and you have had contact from a Case Reviewer at SPSO, please respond to them directly quoting your case reference number.
  • If you have a question about how to make a complaint or are experiencing difficulties complaining to a public service, please read the information on these pages first.
  • If you wish to report a request for service, please contact the organisation directly.
  • If you are enquiring on behalf of a public service organisation or the media, please find your relevant contact here.

We deal with complaints about most public services in Scotland. If your concern relates to a different type of organisation, please see this page for suggestions on who might be able to help.
